What is PPF film and what does it protect?
PPF (paint protection film) is a transparent polyurethane film that protects the paint from stone chips, scratches, insects and the weather. It is most often applied to the front of the vehicle – bonnet, bumper, wings and mirrors – or to the whole car. On the paint it is practically invisible. Inside the car we use it to protect the display and gloss plastics.
What is the difference between PPF film and ceramic coating?
PPF is a physical barrier against mechanical damage – stone chips and scratches. Ceramic protection is a thin coating that adds gloss, protects against UV radiation and dirt and makes washing much easier. The best result comes from combining them: PPF on the most exposed parts and ceramic on the whole car.
How long does ceramic protection last?
We offer ceramic protection for 1 year (99 €), 2–3 years (199 €) and 5 years (499 €). We use Nasiol and ServFaces ceramic coatings. The real lifespan depends on maintenance – hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo extends it, automatic brush washes shorten it.
How do I care for a car with ceramic coating or film?
A normal hand wash with a gentle shampoo is enough. Avoid automatic brush washes and harsh chemicals. Thanks to the hydrophobic effect, dirt sticks to the paint less and washing is quicker.
Can PPF film be removed later?
Yes. Quality PPF film can be removed without damaging the original paint – the paint underneath stays in the condition it was in at application, which you will appreciate especially when selling the car.
What are liquid wipers?
Liquid wipers are a hydrophobic layer on the windscreen that repels water. At higher speeds the drops run off the glass by themselves and you hardly need the wipers. The layer also makes removing frost and insects easier. Application costs 59 €.
