What exactly is dechrome?
Dechrome means wrapping chrome trims and exterior body details in black car film. The car gets a unified, sportier look without replacing or repainting the original parts. Factory “black edition” or “shadow line” versions have the same effect.
Which parts of the car can be wrapped?
Most often the trims around the side windows. Also the grille surround, bumper trims, roof rails, mirror caps or chrome fog light surrounds. Send us photos of your car and we will advise what makes sense on your model.
Should I choose gloss or matt black?
Gloss black looks like a painted part and suits glossy bodywork and black wheels. Matt black looks sportier and better hides minor imperfections of older trims. We will gladly show you samples at the inspection.
Can the film be removed later?
Yes. The chrome under the film stays protected and quality car film can be removed without damaging the original surface – for example when selling the car or if you want a change.
How do I care for the film?
For the first few days after application, do not wash the edges of the trims with a pressure washer until the adhesive has fully cured. After that, normal care as for paint is enough – hand washing with a gentle shampoo without abrasive products.
